What's the issue with the laptop?
The charging port gave up on life. It's going into the shop for repairs pretty soon.
@BlueMonday1984 Yeah, it's a pretty common failure point. Had to solder wires directly to the motherboard to power up an old laptop before. Even if it's a USB-C charger, it shouldn't be too hard for them to fix. But, if the port is on a sub board, you could always try fixing it yourself. That's just swapping a part. Either way, I hope you get it working soon.
