Believe it or not that was the goal! Besides using krita and photoshop cs6 the entire project was strictly set to be from influcences pre-2010. E.g. The abstraction was made with cinema 4d and the brushes were lifted from old deviantart brush packs. I actually categorized the ones I found that I used in the piece on my old DA.
