The "prank gone sideways" setup reminds me of all those dogshit prank channels which popped up during the mid-'10s (and more specifically of Sam Pepper uploading himself sexually harassing people and getting cancelled for it).

The punchline, though, is pretty much timeless - social media's been making and breaking careers for as long as I can remember.
