Most obvious improvement I can see is to the lighting - its much less flat than the original.

A pretty nice crack at animation - this feels like a short snippet from a longer PS1-era cutscene.

On the left, a cute axolotl basked in warm colours and a naturalistic vibe.
On the right, a cool cybernewt, with a background of cool, futuristic blue.

Lovely work all around - these two complement each other beautifully.

Pico's blush stickers threw me off at first - they're pretty easy to mistake for eyes IMO.
