Lighting here is real damn creepy - whatever that thing is, its actively sucking the light out of the piece. The small mote of light in the corner feels like its giving our hoodied protagonist some semblance of false hope.

I didn't know about Devil Beater until coming across this, but damn. Ten years on Roblox is a pretty impressive feat.
If I didn't know better, I'd have thought this was official artwork to celebrate its tenth anniversary. Excellently done.
