Not sure what kinda gun Jack's got in his hands - judging by the fore-end and magazine, its probably an AK-pattern rifle.

The sharp linework on his hair, the devilish grin and devious red eyes, the pitch-black outerwear and blood-red tie, all of it combines to make him look real damn dangerous. Well done.

Thats because the gun Jack has is not like any other gun that exists, although it is inspired by an AK-47. It (or she...?) a very special gun. More on that later. (wink)

ARG can be applied to world building stuff. This one's "analog non-horror" and it's just made to be believable and fun. It's a good breakaway from the mascot horror genre.
