Basic idea was okay, but the physics felt jank as shit - ground movement felt like I was stuck in mud, whilst air movement felt difficult to control.

The falling cubes also had a bad tendency to feel just plain unfair.

Lovedogs2178 responds:

Sorry about the physics. The physics engine I used didn't work how I wanted it to... And the game was made to be hard.

Main major complaint is the inability to control your jump height, which makes platforming much harder than it should and makes the double jump into a major liability.

Another complaint's with the respawn system - respawning at a set location means its pretty much pure luck if you get to try another run after dying.

Got a high score of 20.6 seconds before giving up.

Wreaker404 responds:

Thanks for the tip, I'll try to make the jump height based on how long you press down or something.

You only got 20? Sounds like a skill issue, it's pretty easy to get over 100 if you're good at timing your double jumps.

A solid all-around platformer with an interesting premise.

Main complaint's the unskippable dialogue - it made restarts a lot more tedious than it should be.

Virhinic responds:

Updated the game and added a way to speed up the dialog (D/Right Arrow)

A simple, but solid puzzler, sure to test your skills.

Simple, skill-based (sorta) fast, frantic fun - all amped up with some high-intensity sonic euphoria from ZeRo BaSs.

Good luck getting those final medals, though - you're basically at the mercy of RNGesus with those ones.

This'll be helpful to watch the Deathmatch.

AED4 responds:

Thanks! Something like this hasn't been done before for NGADM as far as I'm aware, so I'm interested to see how well this works :)

A pretty damn solidly made Scratch platformer. Sure, I did encounter the occasional bug (one level spawned me inside level geometry, and the timer ended up freezing after I got two coins), but this was still pretty damn enjoyable.

Iwannakillguy responds:

Thx ;) I`ll fix that

Physics are fine (walljumping *controls* took me getting used to), but you don't really have much here beyond a glorified debug room/tutorial stage and a short stock sound loop.

You're not wrong about it being really hard - when you have slippery physics rendering your character nigh-uncontrollable and a complete lack of direction on how to get to your goal, its naturally gonna be hard.

As for if its enjoyable or not, I think my rating speaks for itself.

Newgrounds is damn good.
