...oh, yeah, young-adult dystopian novels were A Thing back in my childhood. (Also holy shit BajanCanadian, that guy was cool)

I gotta say, you did a pretty good overall. Your podium sketch is my personal highlight, for showing both Katniss and Effie's personalities pretty well - *neither* of them look prepared for this, but one is very clearly more at home on the mic.

As a quick sidenote, Sarah Z did a video on the rise and fall of YA dystopias (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hxGGWn3gWA) - I've been meaning to get around to it, but I do recommend it.

Considering your signature deliberately dates this piece to 2008, I presumed the "deviantart edginess" was rather deliberate :P

In any case, it works pretty well here - Cacleena's evil voice is already coming off as arrogant and immature compared to her usual self, and the '00s-era edginess is only helping to drive that home.

I gotta say, you did a good job getting the series' artstyle down. Its not a perfect recreation, but that's just a minor side-effect of your own style shining through.

[New key art for Leo]

This is a definite step up overall - where the 2023 key art felt a bit flat, this has a definite sense of depth to it (especially in the hair).
Leo looks a lot more serious in this - I'd say that fits him pretty well.

[Weather Report]

If I had to report on weather like that bun over there, I'd be looking done with life too.

This piece overall feels pretty grimy, like its taking place in a run-down studio - a feeling helped by the heavy dithering and the complete lack of characters other than the bun.

(Also noticed one of the PCs had Solitaire open - nice little easter egg.)

Very nice poster, too - its generally gritty style fits the short film quite well.

Thank you! DUM-D might as well be one of the last showings for Rat Race, I think it had a fine festival run over the course of a year.
