[The Worlds Hardest Game 2]

Bigger, badder, and arguably harder than the first.

The autosave is a nice touch, as is the tutorial.

An absolutely fiendishly difficult game, with zero room for error on most levels.

Difficulty feels pretty uneven, but that's my main complaint.

Really puts the astounding size of the Universe into perspective.

A simple idea, executed cleverly, with a unique emoji-based presentation.

Found it a bit too easy for my liking, but the BGM slapped pretty hard.

A basic, straightforward idea with solid execution. Now with a new mechanic, spruced up visuals, an achievement system and three ways to play!

The Boom Bar's a nice addition to the game, giving you a solid option to extend combos.

Its a shame its exclusive to Enhanced Mode - its uneven terrain, moving camera and inconsistent speed make for a frustrating experience.

The visuals did get a nice upgrade - Gunners and Seekers have been given distinct appearances (helping them stand out from Bombers and Bouncers) and Miners look like army trucks rather than shapes on wheels.

Adventure Mode is absolute schlock and goddamn do I love it. It does share the pains of Enhanced Mode, but I'm willing to overlook those here.

A basic, straightforward idea with solid execution. Bit addictive, if I say so myself.

Its a bit short for my liking, and Future Loop Foundation's music doesn't strike me as particularly fitting for Submachine, but neither detract from my enjoyment all that much.

Not only my favourite-looking of the Submachine games, but has the best music, too.
